The Litter Butts Project began in 2009 with funding from the Stewardship Fund from JEDI (Jefferson Economic Development Institute). I collected over 6,000 litters cigarette butts mostly from my home town of Mount Shasta. I created works of art in varying sizes and supplemental educational materials. The work was showcased in a Junk Art show at Liberty Arts, Yreka, CA and the Siskiyou Arts Council Gallery, Mount Shasta, CA. This selected pieces of this project have been shown at the Trimorphic: three distinct perspective on the human condition at the Siskiyou Arts Museum, Dunsmuir, CA and Lauri Sturdivant: Junk Art at Gallery Route One, Point Reyes Station, CA.
